Getting Oxygen Facial In Atlanta
We all need oxygen to live, so it’s no surprise that oxygen has major benefits for your skin as well. Our oxygen facials will help you kick dull skin, breakouts, and visible signs of aging to the curb.
We combine medical grade chemical peels, a detoxifying, age-fighting oxygen wrap, thorough extractions, and custom masks and serums, then top it all off with a stream of vitamin-infused, medical-grade oxygen to reveal healthy, youthful, crystal clear skin!
Every Oxygen Facial includes extractions (if needed). You will see immediate results and this facial is perfect for any skin type.
At WIFH, we use the Karin Herzog brand of oxygen-based products. Oxygen facial pairs well with dermaplaning.
How Does Oxygen Facial Work?
Our skin needs oxygen to function properly and even to produce collagen, one of the building blocks of healthy skin tissue.
Active oxygen has the ability to deeply cleanse, fight bacteria, repair skin cells, hydrate the skin, fight signs of aging, kill acne-causing bacteria, lighten pigment, and reduce redness caused by rosacea – a long list of benefits!
We are offering a few different Oxygen facials at WIFH:
- Acne Clearing Oxygen Facial
- Age-Defying Oxygen Facial
- Oxygen Facial for Sensitive Skin
What are the Risks/Side Effects?
Oxygen facial is a pretty benign skin treatment and carries little risk. Because we are performing extractions there is the risk of bruising due to the pressure being applied to the skin. However, if this were to occur, they would be very tiny and easily covered by make-up.
*This treatment is safe during pregnancy.
Preparing for Oxygen Facial
The Week Before Your Procedure
- 3-5 days before your Oxygen Facial treatment it is advised to stop using exfoliating products, acids and bleaching creams/products.
- Discontinue retinols and tretinoin (Retin-A) at least 12 hours in advance.
- Do not wax or have a skin treatment like a chemical peel or IPL 2 weeks prior to your treatment.
- An Oxygen Facial cannot be done if you have active acne, cold sore or open lesions.
- Please discontinue Accutane 6 months prior to having any skin treatment or procedure due to skin sensitivity.
The Day of Your Treatment
There is no real prep involved on the day of your treatment. It is always preferred that you come in with a clean face (no make-up), however if you are coming from work, we will have you cleanse your face once you arrive.
What to Expect During the Treatment
Oxygen facials begin with a thorough cleanse and exfoliation. The exfoliation step will depend on your skin’s specific needs and varies from dermaplaning to a customized chemical peel.
Following exfoliation, we apply a stabilized active oxygen pack to soften the skin and debris within the pores in order to proceed with the next step: extractions. Extractions following the application of active oxygen are effortless and comfortable. This gives us the ability to thoroughly decongest your pores, leaving them clearer and cleaner than you ever thought possible.
After completing extractions, we apply soothing facial oils and serums and then a mask. Following the mask, we spray a stream of vitamin-infused, medical grade oxygen to reveal your beautiful, smooth, polished, and flawless skin.
The treatment takes approximately 1 hour, and you can have it as frequently as every 2 weeks.
Oxygen Facial Recovery & Aftercare
Immediately following treatment your skin may be a little pink (from the extractions). Other than that, it will look squeaky clean and vibrant. Any redness typically subsides within a few hours.
You are able to apply make-up right away although many don’t want to put anything on their skin because it looks so fresh and polished.
You can resume your normal skincare regimen within 24 hours following your oxygen facial.
Always wear sunscreen.

Each of our oxygen facials begins with a thorough cleanse and exfoliation. The exfoliation step will depend on your skin’s specific needs and varies from dermaplaning to a customized chemical peel.
Following exfoliation, we apply a stabilized active oxygen pack to soften the skin and debris within the pores. The oxygen cream basically creates a vacuum effect, pushing debris, bacteria, and any pore congestion to the surface, prepping the skin for the next step of extractions.
While we all need extractions from time to time, they can be painful and uncomfortable and leave your skin red and marked. Extractions following the application of active oxygen, however, are effortless and comfortable. This gives us the ability to thoroughly decongest your pores, leaving them clearer and cleaner than you ever thought possible. The natural antiseptic properties of the oxygen will also prevent any chance of post-facial breakouts.
After completing extractions, we apply soothing facial oils and serums and then a mask. Following the mask, we spray a stream of vitamin-infused, medical grade oxygen to reveal your beautiful, smooth, polished, and flawless skin.
