You’ve found the love of your life, the perfect dress, and an amazing honeymoon destination. Congrats! Life is looking up, and you’ve got a future full of love and laughter ahead of you. What next? Making sure your skin looks flawless on your big day.
Pre-wedding skincare starts months before you walk down the aisle. In the six months before your wedding, here’s what to do to get gorgeous, close-up worthy skin.
6 Months Before Wedding Skincare
Great skin starts from the inside out. That means, six months before your wedding, it’s all about making sure you’re developing the foundations of great skin, both inside and out.
If you haven’t already, start a consistent skincare routine now. It can take months for a good skincare routine to reach full effect, so starting now gives your skin time to rejuvenate itself completely so you look gorgeous on your wedding day.
You can be as intricate or as simple as you like with your pre-wedding skincare routine, but the real key is consistency. Whatever method of pre-wedding skincare you choose, stick with it! It can take time to see results, so keep going and be patient.
In the morning, wash your face with a gentle cleanser and apply a moisturizer appropriate for your skin type. Bonus points if your moisturizer contains SPF! Using SPF every day is one of the most important things you can do for the long-term beauty of your skin.
At night, cleanse your face and apply nighttime moisturizer without SPF. You can also experiment with serums and toners for an extra boost of actives, but be careful. Always introduce only one product at a time so you can find out what works best for your skin.
Now’s the time also to start chugging water, at least 64 oz. a day. Water is the #1 ingredient for healthy, plump, clean skin. If you start now, you’ll notice a major difference in the look of your skin by your wedding day.

3 Months before wedding skincare
With three months to go, you’re probably starting to seriously pull your wedding together. This can be a stressful time, and stress is awful for your skin! Whatever you need to do to manage stress, do it. Meditate. Delegate. Celebrate!
If you haven’t already, incorporate regular exfoliation into your skincare routine. You can accomplish this somewhat at home with a scrub, but for more complete exfoliation, see us. Microdermabrasion or a chemical peel can give you a better result AND encourage your skin to produce more collagen, leading to plumper, firmer, smoother skin.
It’s also time to start thinking about adding facials into your skincare routine. Not only are facials the ultimate in pampering bliss, but they can do a lot to repair the things about your skin that you don’t like, like uneven texture, acne scars, sun spots, fine lines, and dullness.
Facials are not “one size fits all.” To get the most out of your facial, choose one that’s customized to your unique skin concerns. Some facials precisely target aging skin, acne, uneven tone, redness, and more. Our AQUAGOLD® facial can be customized for your skin with ingredients like hyaluronic acid, growth factors, platelet-rich plasma, skin brighteners, and more so your skin is renewed at a deeper level.
Bridal skincare routine 1 month before the wedding
Your big day is fast approaching! The month before the wedding is a whirlwind of planning, prepping, and hopefully – pampering! This is where your skincare “rubber hits the road,” as all you’ve been doing to take care of your skin is paying off. If you’ve been consistent with your routine, you’ll be enjoying the results every time you look in the mirror by now.
Keep going with your daily skincare routine, regular exfoliation, and a facial in the month before your wedding. This is no time to start putting something new on your skin because, on the off-chance that you react to a skincare ingredient, you could potentially end up with lingering effects on your wedding day. Stick with what works – you’ve found out in the last 5 months what makes your skin look and feel its best.
The one place you CAN feel confident about adding in something new is with injectables like Botox and Juvederm. A light touch of Botox can help erase those pesky wrinkles between your eyebrows (also known as “the 11s”), crow’s feet, and forehead lines. It takes about a week for Botox to take full effect, so getting Botox in the month before your wedding is the perfect timing for looking your best on your big day.
Juvederm is a filler that’s safe for use all over the face. A little extra volume in the lips or cheek, or erasing deep wrinkles instantly, can amplify your bridal beauty style in the weeks before your wedding. You’ll look like you, only well-rested and even more gorgeous.
Night before the wedding skincare prep
On the night before the wedding, will you sleep a wink? Some brides don’t! But with the right bridal skincare the night before the wedding and the cumulative effects of all the pre-wedding skincare you’ve been doing in the past six months, you can still look amazing.
The most important thing you can do the night before your wedding is stick with your usual wash/moisturize routine and try to get some sleep! No caffeine after 5, and try to spend the last few hours of your day doing something relaxing, not stressing about little details. And skip the alcohol – though a nightcap can help some people sleep, it can make you wake up puffy. If your doctor says it’s safe, opt for taking melatonin instead if you need help getting some Zs.
