How Virtual Smartlipo Consultations Work

We understand everyone has a busy schedule, but we also know how important it is to meet with the surgeon you’re considering for your body contouring procedure. While we always prefer to meet with you in person a virtual consultation with Dr. Cox is the next best thing. Our virtual consultations work the same way as our in-person consultations just without the physical/hands-on assessment and the hassle of Atlanta traffic!

On the Consult Request Form below, you’ll need to submit a series of photos of your problem areas so candidacy can be determined prior to scheduling.

Completely fill out the Virtual Consult Request form below, submitting all personal details and photos of problem areas you want to receive treatment on.

Once candidacy is determined, our Surgical Coordinator will contact you to schedule your Virtual Consultation with Dr. Cox.

Meet With Your
Surgeon Virtually

On the day of your Virtual Consultation, Dr. Cox will personally meet with you via FaceTime or Zoom to review your problem areas and recommend a treatment plan.

Tips on Taking Virtual Consultation Photos

To make the most of your virtual consultation, we ask that all photos be in the following format: .jpeg or PDF. Photos are very important to the virtual consultation, this will allow Dr. Cox to make the most comprehensive assessment. We have provided instructions and examples below on how to take your photos.
  • Use a solid background, this will allow for a clear image
  • Make sure you are in a well-lit area
  • Ensure photos are not blurry
  • Take one frontal photo with the face or body centered and looking straight
  • Take a photo of each side of the body with your arms up
  • Take one photo of the back side of your body (for chin/neck Smartlipo this is not needed)

Detailed Photo Instructions

Chin/Neck Area
  • Please make sure your hair is pulled back and that you are not wearing any jewelry or makeup.
  • Keep the camera angle straight forward. Do not angle down or up as this will also create an unnatural position. Make sure you are not lifting your chin up or sticking it out. It’s best to hold your head in a neutral position.
  • 3 photos are needed. Front facing, left side, right side.

Arms
  • It may be best to have assistance for this area. Lift your arms like you are making a “field goal” symbol or a 90 degree angle. If you prefer to not have your full body in the photo, you can send us one arm at a time. Just be sure we are able to see your chest and full arm-finger tip area.
  • Keep the camera angle straight forward. Do not angle down or up as this will also create an unnatural position/view
  • Make sure you are not wearing any shirt. Ladies, you can wear a bra

Abdomen Bra Fat, and/or Flanks

We like to be thorough with these photos and want to make sure we access you properly, so please do your best to follow the guidelines.

  • Please wear loose fit underwear that does not alter your appearance or create a “pudge” that otherwise may not be there. No other garments should be worn. If you are unable to find loose fit underwear, you can submit photos with no garments on.
  • We do ask that yourl hair is up and out of the way.
  • With your legs shoulder width apart, interlock your fingers and hold your arms at chest level. Make sure your arms are straight and elbows are out. Your photos can be just from the chest area to the groin area or a full body photo.
  • Keep the camera angle straight forward. Do not angle down or up as this will also create an unnatural position/view of the abdomen area.
  • First you will take a set of photos “sucking in” and then a set of photos with you fully relaxed. It helps to take a deep breath in and be in a relaxed position. This allows Dr. Cox to assess your muscle tone/quality.
  • 6 photos are needed. Front facing sucking in and relaxed, left side sucking in and relaxed, right side sucking in and relaxed.

Inner and/or Outer Thighs

We like to be thorough with these photos and want to make sure we access you properly, so please do your best to follow the guidelines.

  • Please wear loose fit underwear that does not alter your appearance or create a “pudge” that otherwise may not be there. If easier, you can submit your photos with no garments on. That way we can fully access the area.
  • You will want to ensure we can see clearly from your hip to your knee area, with your feet shoulder length apart.
  • 2 photos are needed. Front facing and back facing
